Self Managed Superannuation

Our Offering

Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs) are a core component of our business, and offer those planning for their retirement the opportunity to exert greater control over how their superannuation funds are invested, to obtain greater transparency of risks and fees, and to better exploit the strategies and opportunities permitted by superannuation legislation. Like other superannuation funds, they are primarily used to meet the retirement needs of members.

Our SMSF services can be tailored to meet your needs in a very flexible manner, but in broad terms services can be classified into the following three categories:

  • SMSF Strategic Advice;

  • SMSF Investing; and

  • SMSF Administration.

Our SMSF Strategic Advice service provides SMSF trustees or prospective trustees with access to a qualified adviser who can help them better navigate the myriad of rules governing the operation of their SMSF, and to assist them in getting the most from their SMSF and the available benefits. Ongoing benefits of this service include advice surrounding admission of new members or trustees, contribution rules, investing rules, gearing rules, estate planning, benefit payment and pension rules, Centrelink implications, account structuring, and pro-active drafting of personalised documents for compliance and record keeping obligations, amongst others.

Subject to personal preferences and circumstances, our SMSF investing service utilises the benefits of our broader investing offering. This enables SMSF investors to obtain professional investment advice, while managing their own compliance, administration, and other advice or record keeping needs (or outsourcing these to other service providers).

Our SMSF Administration service provides financial and member statements in a format suitable for audit, preparation and handling of all key record keeping obligations, and all non-advice related functionality is available.

While you can elect to retain our services for one or more of these activities, bundling these activities together under our overall SMSF Management Service will produce the most cost effective, convenient, and compliant solution.

For those with existing professional relationships, our services dovetail into those offered by accountants, stock brokers, specialist auditors, and other financial planners, with online account access available where required. This assists in ensuring a cooperative approach in meeting the holistic needs of your SMSF, and significantly improves confidence in your funds ability to achieve objectives.

You are also most welcome to meet with one of our advisers on a no obligation basis to obtain further information on SMSFs, their suitability, and our flexible service offerings.
